Modern Shopify Mega Menu with collection images
This modern Shopify Mega Menu displays collection images for each of the six sub-collections. The standard Mega Menu does only create a list of text links for each sub-collection, but with some custom code it displays beautiful images making your Mega Menu more modern and visually appealing.
How does it work?
Let's have a quick look at how the custom Mega Menu with Collection images for Shopify works:
- Collections: In this mega menu, you see one parent collection like Bags. And underneath Bags, you see six sub-collections like Backpacks, Duffels, Crossbody, Tote Bags, Accessories and All bags.
- Main menu: On the Shopify dashboard, I created a main menu with the "Bags" collection as a parent and I added six sub-menu-items for the different bag collections underneath, like Tote Bags and Backpacks.
- Collection images: The default mega menu on the Dawn Theme shows a link list with text links for each sub-category. But I added collection images to each sub-collection, that I wanted to display on the mega menu.
- Custom code: With some custom code, I added the collection images on the mega menu dynamically.

Making changes
